The market town of Bishop s Castle is surrounded by the South West Shropshire Hills the ancient town offers a weekly market and a variety of shops pubs and places to eat. There are two breweries within the town the Three Tuns established in 1642 the oldest in the country and the Six Bells brewery. The town also has a great events calendar famed for its annual Real Ale Festival and Tandem Triathlon. Ideally placed for touring the Welsh Marches rural Shropshire and North Herefordshire and the fascinating and well-known towns of Montgomery Ludlow well known for its food festival and Shrewsbury are also within easy reach. You can enjoy the numerous nearby attractions including Powis Castle the Severn Valley Railway and walks along Shropshire Way.
