The hut is perfectly situated on the England/Wales border making it easy to visit some of the area s historic towns and villages including Hay-on-Wye which is renowned for its affluent bookshops and exquisite restaurants. Inside you step back in time to the most romantic ambiance imaginable which allows you to absorb the rustic charm. The traditional log burner takes pride of place and keeps the carriage toasty on cooler evenings a vintage leather chesterfield sofa is perfect for relaxing with a book or simply let the crackle of the fire lull you into the night as you watch the wildlife out of the large window. The kitchen area is ingeniously made from an old water tank and offers lots of space to rustle up a meal for two or just brew up a morning coffee. A gas hob and just the right amount of pots pans and utensils are provided for you. At the other end of your carriage a king sized supremely comfortable bed awaits your slumber and you will feel the weight of the world leave your shoulders. A small window at the foot of the bed frames the mountain view you wake up to - no need to draw the curtains here! There really is no detail missed here your bathroom is cleverly fashioned from an old grain silo and sits comfortably alongside the carriage offering a very effective wet room style shower and the beautiful glass sink adds a further luxurious touch. Outside your bespoke and very regal wood fuelled hot tub beckons you to relax yet further. This stunning piece of art has been designed and the ornate sculpting has been hand forged by the owners taking inspiration from the natural surroundings its detail is astonishing. Filled with pure spring water simply heat it up and enjoy. A large fire pit provides a great way to cook up a meal and just in case you need to unwind even more a double hammock is there for you to snooze in whilst the birds sing their songs just lie back and enjoy this unique experience. Tucked away a few short miles from Hay on Wye you will find this beautiful house full of Welsh charm from the slate tiles and oak floors to the Welsh woollen blankets and curtains. The vibe is laid back and rural with country views across the impressive Black Mountain range and the private lake. The Welsh Border town of Hay-on-Wye is just three miles away easily managed by bicycle with a large array of independent shops and of course its world famous book festival of which there are now two each year one in May and one in November. The Cathedral town of Hereford is 25 miles away and Brecon can be reached in 20 minutes by car. The Black Mountains are pretty much on your doorstep with endless trails and an adventure training centre nearby should you want to book a guide. For the more adventurous the list is endless with rock climbing abseiling gorge walking rafting canoeing archery caving and pot holing all available nearby within the Brecon Beacon National Park. On site the leisure facilities include a private lake for swimming or Carp fishing large games room with piano punch bag table tennis a working arcade game and table football. The house has five bedrooms all on the first and second floors; a super- king with dressing room and en-suite bathroom with shower and WC a zip-and-link twin (which can be made into a super-king on request) and three further double bedrooms. There is a family bathroom with bath shower and WC and another bathroom with shower over bath and WC. A separate WC is located on the ground floor. The gorgeous and comfortable lounge has its own woodburner (logs included) TV DVD iPod dock and DAB radio with views over the garden and doors to the terrace outside. On the ground floor you will find a study with desk in case you need some quiet time to catch up with work or reading. The inviting kitchen/diner has an Everhot electric oven and gas hob microwave and fridge freezer. Next door is the well equipped utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside there is much space and extensive gardens for you to enjoy with plenty of comfortable garden furniture barbeque in summer months and a swing with also the major attraction of the lake perfect for wild swimming or Carp fishing. This Barn is everything we think a family holiday home should be; stylish beautiful comfortable and brimming with character. Once inside your gaze is drawn up to the fully restored oak ceiling the beams criss cross the full length of the barn and lend an atmosphere of warmth and cosiness. There is lots to do in the area from hiring bikes and cycling into Hay-on-Wye or pedal further along the Subtrans routes hiring canoes or even Vespas from the nearby River Cafe. The Black Mountains are in easy reach as are the Brecon Beacons with something available for every level of adventurer. The River Wye is at the bottom of the fields nearby with canoeing hire in nearby Glasbury. Fishermen will enjoy the River Usk & River Wye for a casting day. Or check out the spectacular waterfalls in the National Park. There is the Cathedral town of Brecon 12 miles away the City of Hereford with impressive Cathedral housing the ancient Mappa Mundi 20 miles. The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: 1 super-king-size 1 king-size with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC 1 double and 1 twin.
