Whitstable is a world away from what we have come to expect from a British seaside town. There are no amusement arcades here and no donkeys on the beach but instead a fantastic range of independent boutiques highly-regarded restaurants oyster bars quiet pubs and quirky galleries. The shingle beach is a pleasant space to relax and play whilst the town is also a favourite choice for water sports enthusiasts where visitors can take tuition in stand-up paddleboarding kite surfing or sailing.
