Strawberry Special trains ferried the fruits to all parts of the country until the line was axed in 1965. Strawberries are still grown there today and when in season are available to buy from stalls on the roadside between Cheddar Draycott Rodney Stoke and Westbury-sub-Mendip. The line is now a long distance footpath. Today the village and gorge provide shopping and leisure opportunities for all ages. The gorge is in the top 10 attractions nationally and is only 10 minutes walk away. The spacious accommodation offers ONE large king-size bedroom with TV. You are welcomed into the delightful accommodation through the front door where you enter the hall with space to hang coats. The room is furnished with two comfortable sofas perfect for relaxing in front of the TV/DVD. Off to the side of the lounge a doorway leads through to the kitchen/diner a charming room with exposed beams and an attractive homely feel. The table here comfortably seats four whilst there is also an oven hob microwave fridge freezer washing machine and dishwasher. Wooden stairs lead to the first floor where there are two bedrooms.
