This lovely property is set in an ideal spot in the centre of the pretty coastal village of Blakeney within easy reach of the quay and a choice of shops restaurants and pubs. Just 2 miles away is the fantastic Blakeney National Nature Reserve. The nearby village of Cley next the Sea is famous for its 18th century windmill 13th century church and a variety of art and craft shops galleries and plenty of great places to eat and drink. Cley is also home to the Cley Marshes Nature Reserve. From Blakeney Point you can take a boat trip to visit a colony of grey seals. Also nearby are Wells-next-the-Sea (9 miles) and the seaside resort of Cromer (14 miles). This lovingly updated Grade II listed flint and brick cottage traded as a public house called The Ship Inn until 1967. On entering via a stable door you will find a welcoming and spacious lounge with plenty of comfortable seating TV DVD iPod dock and a traditional wood burner. There s also an attractive kitchen/diner with a lovely dining area and a kitchen with an oven microwave washing machine tumble dryer dishwasher coffee machine and fridge/freezer. The kitchen also has a traditional wood burner which is overhung by the original wood from an old boat hull. There is also a ground-floor WC. Heading up the stairs which have a monkey tail finial you will find three cosy bedrooms on the first floor. There s a twin room one double and one king-size with a wood burner. There s also an en-suite shower room as well as a bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower. The second floor comprises the attic which has been turned into a twin bedroom - more suited to children due to the sloping eaves and beams which are made from the masts of ships. There s also an area to watch TV and DVDs. Please note that the steps into the attic are very steep and should be descended backwards. They are not suitable for young children. Stepping outside you will find yourself in a small west-facing patio area with furniture perfect for capturing the sun during the warm months giving you a lovely space to unwind in. There are two parking spaces available on a first-come first-served basis which are shared by three cottages.
