Salthouse is a pretty coastal village which is a fantastic place to enjoy a relaxed holiday near the sea. Walk from the cottage straight into the village centre with its welcoming pub and its charming crab shack. The village beach is situated within 0.5 miles of the cottage and is a delightful shingle beach which stretches east to Kelling and west to Cley-next-the-Sea. The salt marshes which are literally on the property s doorstep span for 66 hectares and are home to a wealth of wildlife making an ideal spot for keen walkers wildlife enthusiasts and those with an interest in photography. A garden path leads up to the front door of this property and brings guests to the characterful lounge with its inglenook fire place with its warming wood burner beamed ceiling and TV/DVD which can be enjoyed from the comfortable seating. Next to the lounge the kitchen/diner is finished in a homely style and offers a dining table seating four as well as an oven hob microwave fridge with ice compartment dishwasher and washing machine. The contemporary-style bathroom with its shower-over-bath and WC can also be found on the ground floor as can the separate shower room with its shower and WC. The two bedrooms can be found upstairs the first of which is a king-size room with the second room being a restful twin. Outside gardens to the front and rear offer plenty of outdoor space to relax with garden furniture allowing guests to enjoy al fresco dining. There is curb-side parking available on the road just outside the cottage.

This cottage is situated in the coastal village of Salthouses on the North Norfolk coast. The village is the perfect spot for those who wish to enjoy a relaxed seaside holiday in quiet surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of some of the larger resort towns and villages. Salthouses offers an idyllic glimpse at life in this part of the world with miles of scenic walks to be enjoyed both on the pretty shingle beach and around the saltmarshes which are populated by an abundance of wildlife. The village has a convenient shop which is just next door to the cottage and prides itself on offering a fantastic range of local produce and therefore is great for stocking up on supplies. In addition to the shop there is also a pub and an excellent crab shop which offers eat-in meals and takeaway snacks and sandwiches. Guests approach this property across the private patio garden to the front door which opens onto a small hallway off from which doors lead through to the lounge and the dining room. The lounge has a wonderfully cosy feel to it with its beamed ceiling and warming open fire. There is plenty of space for six guests to relax including one sofa which is a sofa bed and can be used to accommodate two guests. There is a TV/DVD in the lounge here too as well as a music system with a CD player. Opposite the lounge the dining room has a wooden dining table and leads through to the kitchen which is equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge with ice compartment dishwasher and washing machine. Stairs from the hallway lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms two of these are peaceful single rooms whilst the other is an attractive double. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor offering a shower-over-bath and WC. Guests should be aware that this is a traditional cottage and doorways are lower than those found in modern houses. To the front of the property there is a pleasant patio garden which is furnished with a table and chairs making it a lovely spot to sit out with alfresco drinks in the evenings. There is off-road parking available for two cars.

Situated in the quiet village of Salthouse amongst the saltmarshes of the North Norfolk coast this property enjoys a wonderful location within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just one mile from the village s wide shingle beach. A few miles west of the property the National Trust nature reserve at Blakeney is a 4-mile long shingle spit which is home to an abundance of seabirds as well as a colony of grey seals and is a wonderful place for keen photographers wildlife enthusiasts and walkers alike. Travelling 8 miles further west from Blakeney the attractive town of Wells-next-the-Sea not only boasts a good range of shops and restaurants but also a fantastic sandy beach which stretches round to the iconic sands of Holkham Bay and is backed by colourful beach huts. The ground floor of this attractive cottage is almost entirely occupied by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner a light-filled room which has been finished in a contemporary style. The lounge area has a relaxed feel to it with two comfortable sofas a warming wood burner and a TV/DVD and is perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach and simply spending time together in the evenings. The dining table runs along one side of the kitchen area next to a window and patio doors which look out over the garden and to the saltmarshes beyond. The glossy kitchen area meanwhile is well-equipped offering an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher whilst the washing machine is kept in the ground-floor shower room and the tumble dryer in the garden summerhouse. Upstairs there are two bedrooms the first of these being a peaceful double room benefitting from its own TV and far-reaching views across the saltmarshes to the coast. The second bedroom sleeps three guests with a single bed and a set of full-size bunks and also has the handy addition of a retractable gate across the doorway keeping toddlers safe if they wake at night. To the rear of the property accessed through patio doors from the dining room the garden has a patio seating area with garden furniture beyond which the lawn looks out over fields to the surrounding saltmarshes. There is also a second pleasant seating area in the summerhouse which is a lovely spot to sit with a drink and a good book. There is off-road parking for one car with additional roadside parking available at the nearby village green.
